GRAPHIC DESIGN

This project was completed in Fall 2020 for a Media Graphics course. The assignment was to design a fake magazine spread that used elements inspired by a real magazine publication of our choice. In this case, I chose The Rolling Stone, showcasing their iconic shade of red, recognizable type-faces, and referencing their overall style and attitude.

The project above was completed in Fall 2020 for a Media Graphics course. The assignment was to redesign a fast-food restaurant menu into one that is upscale and five-star. For this project, I chose to give Cook Out a makeover by redesigning its logo, changing the names and descriptions of menu items, and creating an organized, professional layout.

This project was completed in Fall 2020 for a Media Graphics course. The assignment was to design a billboard using only three words, one of which needed to be a variation of the term "vote," and using only one other color that is not black or white.

My billboard was one of the few out of the class that was chosen to be printed and used by Lamar Advertising throughout the state of Tennessee. It was featured on the University of Tennessee's College of Journalism & Electronic Media website as well.

DIGITAL CONTENT
During my time as a Strategic Communications Intern at Boldsquare, I was able to develop the blog post shown above. After choosing this topic, I conducted relevant research to help with my writing. My final piece can be seen here and on the Boldsquare website.
The following pieces of content were developed in Spring 2021 as part of a project for my Enterprise and Leadership in Media course. I created these mock concepts for WBIR, a local television station in Knoxville, TN. The goal of this project was to introduce new content ideas / strategies to attract the 18-34 age group / demographic.

"The Feed" is a mock YouTube series developed for WBIR. Episodes would be posted every Wednesday @ Noon. The 20-30 minute videos would explore local restaurants, breweries, diners, etc., where hosts sample items and give reviews.
Includes an "Eye Around Town" segment highlighting local events such as concerts and other happenings.
Includes an "Eye On Campus" segment to report on campus events, news, and student organizations.

"Hot Takes" is a mock sports podcast developed for WBIR. Episodes would be released every Monday and Thursday @ Midnight. The 30-60 minute episodes would focus on Tennessee sports reporting and commentary.
Includes guest appearances and comedic elements for entertainment. The goal is to capture casual conversations and perspectives for the 18-34 demographic to relate to.
"Hot Takes" would be advertising-supported, which offers a new revenue stream for WBIR.
